Another simple but effective band on the Victoria Sampler piece.
This one is called "Modified Smyrna Cross", but I learned this stitch as "Tied Cross". Either way, it's effective both in a small over two format or this larger over 4 threads version.
This band was done with a very interesting thread. It's a Krenik thread, the same size as the larger #8 Faux Gold Braid. This one is made of a holographic fiber which subtlety shifts color in longer color runs through ruby and red-violet shades.
