I've worked on just two needlework projects this week. I reported on the Mead Dragon in my usual end of the month post (here). Then on the first, I switched to the Birdhouses SAL. After several hours, I have all the picket fence for this month done except the backstitching. No flowers along the bottom this time, just sand and sea grass and isn't that the cutest little crab?
The birdhouse for this month is a sailboat; the keel is laid down and the opening finished. But there's a fair bit left on the ship and both of her sails yet to do. There's also a small bird to come over on the righthand bar. However, I should have the August section done this coming week. I did check and it also looks like everything will meet up OK next month (whew!)Linking up with the SSS crew.
I love seeing this project each month. I’ve never done a cross stitch sew along before. This is a really cute pattern. Glad the two parts will meet in the middle next month. Gail at the cozy quilter
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun project! I love all the little details along the fence. Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteI first saw this pattern on Snug Harbor Crafts floss tube and fell in love with this cute design. Your stitch is very nice and all most done!! I just ordered it from 123 Stitch.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stitching!
ReplyDeleteThat's very pretty, nice seeing it growing slowly but surely.
ReplyDeleteI love watching your progress on the pretty stitchery.
