Mead Dragon is now a quarter of the way done!! 23,694 / 94,500 stitches = 25.07%. Background is down to working on Row 70 and I moved up the fabric to start filling in more of the problem symbol. The upper part of her head is done down the just below the eye and the wings are starting to fill in. There's a bit more confetti on the mouth/lower jaw area yet to do, but you can start to see the background under her chin and the hint of color where the neck starts.
I say "Her" because male bees don't make honey, and therefore are not responsible for mead. The males also do not defend the hive, the female worker bees do. And she is certainly posed to defend the drinking horn.
Where I was last month for comparison
And the mock up from the pattern cover.
