Slow Sunday Stitching - June 1, 2025

First of the month already again?  Doesn't seem like enough weeks since I last reported on my monthly projects!

First up is the Temperature Stitches Daily Log.   The pattern (with video tutorials on YouTube) is by Sarah - StitchinMommy; the link is to her channel and from there you can get to her etsy store for the pattern.  Her stitch diagrams are excellent.

This project records the high temperature each day at one of the local airports.  This is a National Weather Service recording station, so good accuracy and it is just across the river from where I live.  This month's stitch is the Rhodes Stitch Heart.   I loved doing this one, it always seems like magic when seeming random stitches turn into a recognizable shape.

And here's the year to date: (I was in a hurry to get Saturday's temp done this morning before I posted and didn't see how distorted everything was from handling.  I'll fix that before I start the June triple rice stitches tomorrow).

The other month end report is for my full coverage piece.  See the month end post from yesterday for the details and comparison pictures.
And last, but certainly not least, I've gotten a couple of hours in on the Blackbird Designs piece "Blessings and Kind Wishes" that is in my Historic slot in the rotation.

I managed to get the verse finished and the basket motif in the bottom left corner started.   Quite a bit still to go on that area, including two more sets of "grapes" made from eyelets.

Linking up with the SSS crew (post is here).
