Slow Sunday Stitching - November 6, 2022

Between everything that I went to for the kids last week, I got the Winter Forest Hat finished!

I don't feel like casting on another charity hat, so I guess a garter stitch scarf would be a good project to start.   It's another mini-shawl that grows with each row.  This one, though starts at one end instead of in the center back like the green one did.  Pattern is "Ex Boyfriends" by Jennifer Beever (free pattern at link on Ravelry)

I have to admit that I didn't get very far on my needlework birthday start - just a two and a half hours on Kathy Barrick's "My Day Complete".   It's been a busy week at work - and the aforementioned grandkid stuff going on meant that most nights I was so bushed that I just vegged and read.  I really like the way it's looking, though.  40 count Vintage Country Mocha on the Newcastle Linen base with DMC (alternative charting).

Hope to get more time in on this after church and checking out the SSS crew (link to current roundup)

PS, I did get the heel flap and turned Dutch Heel done on Bob's Christmas Stocking, but I didn't take a picture - it's at that 'wrestling the porcupine' stage, so not very interesting anyhow.   I'd like to get the gusset done on it this week.
