It's been a busy, busy week at work - year end close. Which is also a monthly close AND a Quarter close. ALL the reports! 😆
But there was a little bit of stitching time on Monday (Holiday day for me since the first fell on a weekend). I finished up the rest of the leaves on the January section of "My Day Complete". Now that this project is in an actual spot on my rotation, I should be able to put enough time into it that I'll actually be ahead and maybe finish in advance of the schedule. I've worked 12 hours on it in total and I'm well into the fourth section.
There wasn't much stitching on Tuesday to Thursday (but some knitting - see below). Then I got a few hours in on my Blackbird piece Friday and yesterday for the #BBDWeekendSAL This is only three and a half hours of work since the 12 x 12 SAL on New Years Eve, so I think I'll keep working on it this afternoon.
ETA: another hour and a half - 30.0 in total |
And there's the first finish of 2023. I bound off the Wolkig Cowl (link to my Ravelry page). It's very difficult to photograph. All of the squishy texture and pleating / ruching and the rolling, spiral hem means that it looks like an undifferentiated blob when not being worn. When it's on, though, it's wonderfully warm and snugly. I think I'd like to knit it again sometime as a circle scarf with several more repeats of the pattern around.
Linking up with the SSS crew (current roundup is here).
Your stitching is very pretty. That cowl looks soft and cozy. Enjoy your stitching.
ReplyDeleteYou managed to get some stitching and knitting in even though you were busy at work…good for you! Gail at the Cozy Quilter
ReplyDeleteAlways love to see what you're stitching! I appreciate how organized you are with keeping track of projects in rotation, and how much time each one has received. Thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteTrying to go back and calculate the hours on Dutch Beauty last month made me determined to keep my record keeping going! It's interesting to see my stats, though I'm not as careful as some people. "Close is good enough" for a hobby stitcher.
DeleteBeautiful stitching, and I love the color of the cowl!
ReplyDeleteThe dye job on this yarn is so lush! I love it.
DeleteVisiting from Kathy’s stitching party.
ReplyDeleteSweet stitching! The cowl looks so cosy. I’m off to visit your Ravelry link as I have some wool that would suit this pattern. I will see if I have the patience to knit one. 😂🤣 Nice to meet you.

thank you for the kind comment. I originally thought it would block out like lace does, but those edges are very sculptural - rather like a Nikki Epstein pattern. Good luck with your project.
