Wow, the last part of the Blackbird Design "Blessings and Kind Wishes" is going SLOW. It is essentially full coverage for the bottom right-hand side. I put in over four hours, but all I got done this week was the roof and finishing up the rest of the gable end. Next up is windows (5 of them) and the door.
On the other hand, knitting went very well this week, with the
Hurricane Hat completed (link is to my Ravelry page).
And another worsted weight hat cast on (to use up the scraps of the acrylic/cotton). Once I finish the ribbing, there will be big and little stripes.
As usual in the summer, I'm going all directions with family birthdays, the garden and everything else competing for my attention. How I ever crammed a full-time job in there, I don't know.
Full coverage stitching always takes lots of time! I like the swirly pattern in the hat. Gail at the cozy quilter
ReplyDeleteI have added the Hurrican Hat to my Ravelry library. What a pretty pattern.Your cross stitch piece is very pretty. We just have to accept that full coverage takes time.
ReplyDeleteWhen we retire, we often wonder how we had time to go to work! Retirement can be just as busy, but doing more enjoyable things.
