Trying to get back to at least a weekly crafting update. I rather lost my craft mojo the last few weeks. I just couldn't get into the assembly on the sweetbag. It's still in pieces on my table (sigh).
I did knit one side on the sock yarn blanket. Half way around strip 7 and ready to do corner number 3. (The corners start each side. Corner 1, side 1, corner 2, side 2, ect) Mindless knitting seems to be about all I could manage for a while there.
I did prep Block 8 for Lucy. And it's about a third of the way together. Round 3 and 4 are all the dark green, and it looks somewhat "Christmas" in person, but should be OK in the larger context.
Friday after work, I pulled out Millennium to see if I could get any stitching done this month. And I have a good start on the bottom area - about an hour and a half. Tiny little dots made of two full cross stitches and two partial cross
Some backstitching turns dots into leaves and a lovely little spray of foliage that matches the top of the arch.
I'm off to make dots on the other side...... (After I check out the SSS crew - link to this week's round up.)
I think a lot of people have had the crafting mojo ebb and flow over the last 6 months. Your projects are very pretty and hope you enjoy the blog surfing today.
ReplyDeleteLovely cross stitch!
ReplyDeleteI always think ever little bit of progress counts! Your tiny cross-stitched leaves and branches are lovely.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I can't believe how much the back stitch adds.
DeleteGreat projects. I have had a couple of days when my mojo was zilch. I have read all day, and the next day I generally feel up to getting going again.
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the mojo thing. I think we are removed from our friends and fellow quilters...that we don't feel the need to do anything because who can we show it to!
ReplyDeleteThat's one nice thing about this group. We at least still have virtual cheerleaders!
