Needlework Changeover - 2020 Rotation #4, slot 3 (modern sampler) complete

As I mentioned in my Slow Sunday Stitching post this morning, I have finished the next ten hours on Elizabeth Designs "Garden Delights".   (I actually went over by about a hour and a half, but....   Border finish.)

Just the verse and charms on it to do next time.

I've decided to finish this as a project bag.   I don't usually take my counted thread embroidery out and about as a travel project, so the fact that this is silk and will have two charms on it won't be an issue.  I'm not that hard on the bags that stay home.  This decision was prompted by finding the perfect complementary fabric in my quilting stash.  It's so pretty!

Next up in the rotation is, of course, Dutch Beauty.  Here's where I left it last time.  I will be working on the right side corner.  I have the buds in the bottom border and the tall 'lily vase' to finish off this page.  The lily motifs actually span the page breaks.  It will be nice to end the year with a page finish!

  1. That Dutch Beauty is amazing. I think that is way more effort then I have ever put into any of my quilts - I would have too much eye strain doing the work you do

    1. I have a lighted magnifier. I use it on all my needlework now. I could not manage to stitch without it. It's a Craftlight "Dublin" model. Pricey, but worth it.
