Slow Sunday Stitching - February 13, 2022

Health update - getting some energy back, but still coughing a lot.   It's good to not need a nap every day, though!

And there was quite a bit of crafting this week all things considered.

I put in over four hours on the Plaza Sewing Bag that is the current needlework focus project.  The next building in the cityscape is about half way done, with the rest of the roofline and a large 'stained glass' window in the front facade left to do.   I'm not happy with the spacing on the name over the doorway; I may frog and re-chart it myself.  I'll decide after I get the window in.

There's been some progress on Patchwork of the Crosses as well.  Here's a back view of the center and first connecting row in progress.   As you can see, I'm starting to remove papers as I go along.  (And I REALLY need to replace my ironing board cover!  I use Best Press and other starches quite a bit on my quilts and linens and starch over-spray does stain when it gets heated multiple times on the linen setting.)  About halfway through getting that vertical connecting block attached, then I can take out 9 more foundations.  There's something very satisfying to pulling out the basting and papers

And last but not least, I'm within six inches of the last corner on Round 9 of the Sock Yarn Blanket.  It's been nice to snuggle under a pile of garter stitch when it's cold.

Linking up with Slow Sunday Stitching (current link party).
