Rotation Changeover - 2023 Rotation #1, Slot 1 (historic) complete

 Since I finished Dutch Beauty on Christmas Eve, I needed a project for the 'Historic Reproduction or Inspired Sampler / Smalls' slot.  My Birthday Start of "My Day Complete" by Kathy Barrick fills the bill, since it's inspired by a folk art watercolor from the early 1800s.   I'd originally planned to do this piece with several others who also have late October birthdays as a year long (October to October) SAL, but I'm trying to simplify my rotation, so I'll be working at my 'ten hours per rotation' pace instead.   This project now has 20 hours in on it since the end of October,

I am stitching the DMC version with a couple of substitutions due to my darker linen.   40 count Vintage Country Mocha on the Newcastle base.

I'm really looking forward to the next time it comes up in the rotation to get that elegant swoopy tail on the bird!
