Rotation Changeover - 2023 Rotation #4, Slot 1 (Historic) completed AND Slow Sunday Stitching - August 13, 2023

The only problem with working on small counts is that you can stitch for hours and it doesn't look like all that much.   Same number of stitches, but only a little area!  About a quarter of the way done, ten hours in, and still only about two square inches!  So tiny, so cute.

The Blackbird Designs "Two Hearts" Needlebook is on 56 count, so the same size as 28 count over one.  And it is coming along quite well.   The checkerboard that makes up the 'palm and fingers' is a pea green and a greenish gold.   The four by four squares are very subtle.   The frogs visited a bit on the first heart, but I chased them off and the second heart went very well.

This week has had quite a bit of canning and pickle making, and associated gardening.   We've finally had some rain, for which I am very grateful.  When it gets too dry, there is always the threat of wildfires on the prairie, and my heart goes out to those on Maui (especially those who lost family members).   One never thinks of wildfire even being possible in the tropics.

Linking up with the SSS crew (current roundup).
