Slow Sunday Stitching - July 29, 2018

I totally missed last Sunday's link up.   I have no excuse other than that the grandkid wore me OUT earlier in the weekend.

My son and daughter in law went on a short vacation to Denver last weekend for their anniversary (and seem to have a blast).  Her mom and I did grandma duty.   Luckily we are both local and both have living arrangements where we can have grandkids stay over.   I actually stayed at their house and took care of the dogs as well as the kid on Friday night, and a friend came over and took the dogs for the rest of the weekend.

It was actually fairly fun, but 5 year olds are high energy LOL.

Between that, the yard work, and the fact that I had an important deadline project at work type work, my crafting time has been a little scant on the ground.

BUT, I am on the last part of the Victoria Sampler band sampler piece.  Just one more row to go.

I've also managed to keep up with the plan on the lace shawl and am on row 22 of the chart.  I do need to show you all a recent picture of that.   Maybe next week?

Quilting this week has all been machine work.  I need to get the mini-quilt in the mail by next weekend, so it's a priority.
This week I am making the link up to the Slow Sunday Stitching crew over at Kathy's blog.

  3. I was at the Canadian Textile Museum today and they had a sampler from the 19th century that you would have liked. Amazing that many of us slow stitchers are still doing the same types of projects as people long ago

    1. I know! It's one of my favorite things about stitching, that connection to our ancestresses.
