Ah, New Year's Day. For some it's all about the game, or recovering from the night before. For me, it's time to reset the Needlework Rotation. No new starts, so the line up is:
Historic/Vintage - Permin's "Dutch Beauty"
Pictorial - Teresa Wentzler "Millennium"
Modern - Victoria Sampler "Four Elements: Fresh Air" (in yellows)
Finish/Frame - from the pile
I'm out of zombie projects (well, there are two pictorials, but they will slot into their correct place in the rotation eventually) and I don't have any class or stitch along going on right now, so no optional fifth slot at the moment.
I am starting out with Dutch Beauty. When I left off last fall, I had just finished the middle of the three large bands that make up this historic reproduction sampler.
I liked working from the outsides into the middle, so I will probably do that again, but first I will stitch the spine of the green vine border all the way around. I'll do the "buds" and "leaves" on the border when I do each page. I'm going to use a hoop since the qsnaps are such a pain to move. I'm just praying that it matches up in the bottom right corner LOL.
